St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken
Tuff stone building ensemble in perfection
Hamburg’s landing stage
The two towers with their green domes rise conspicuously above the long terminal building of the Landungsbrücken. In the past, steamships were handled here, and emigrants to America also boarded here. Today, you can enjoy the breeze on a harbour tour from the Landungsbrücken, marvel at the big ships and learn a lot. You can purchase tickets for this at a greatly reduced price from us in addition to our city tour tickets.
Along the promenade and in the Landungsbrücken building, numerous souvenir shops and culinary offerings are waiting to be discovered. Since 2003, the Landungsbrücken and the Old Elbe Tunnel located there have been listed as historical monuments. The Old Elbe Tunnel was opened in 1911 and was considered an architectural marvel. It runs under the Elbe and connects the Landungsbrücken with the harbour area on the opposite side. A tour of the Old Elbe Tunnel with its beautiful tiles is a great experience.
Also close to the Landungsbrücken are the museum and hotel ship Cap San Diego and the museum and memorial ship Rickmer Rickmers with various exhibitions.
