Stop 7 - Gänsemarkt

The stop is located in the middle of Neustadt, right next to Gänsemarkt. This triangular square is the meeting point of the famous Jungfernstieg and Gerhofstraße, a pedestrian zone with many shops and cafés.
There is a monument to the poet Gotthold Ephraim Lessing on Gänsemarkt. The Hamburg State Opera is located on Dammtorstraße, which also leads to Gänsemarkt. From here, it is only a few steps to the Binnenalster, where you can enjoy the classic panorama of Hamburg’s city centre and perhaps have a coffee at the Alsterpavillon with a view of the Binnenalster.
